Performer, director, choreographer, acrobat and teacher. She is graduated from the School of Contemporary Dance Arte XXI of Buenos Aires City and from the Ballet Junior de Genève where she performed repertoires of choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter, Maguy Marin, Rachid Ouramdane, Thomas Hauert, Olivier Dubois, Jos Baker, among others, participating in performances and tours with that Ballet do in 2018-2019. Professionally as well she waw a full time ensemble dancer with the UNSAM Dance Group and the Araiz Company directed by the choreographer and teacher Oscar Araiz, doing solos and duets in performances and tours.

Internationally as well she worked professionally with Alias Company from Switzerland by the brazilian choreographer Guillerme Botelho doing Jetuilnousvousils and Sideways Rain in performances and tours. In turn, she did an internship with Grupo Corpo Company of Brazil and with the Ballet of the Grand Théâtre de Geneve. She was performer for two projects at Danse Elargie in Paris and she won the prize at the Internacionally Contemporary Dance Center with the Korean Company Bora Kim.

Yasmin is the director and choreographer of the independent company SYSTEM, through which she received support from the state to carry out the project. With it, she created the trilogy Sistemas de Fuga with which she carried out tours in Argentine and neighboring countries, providing as well a training as a teaching platform. In turn, Yasmin created her solo stage piece RETRO VISIÓN and she works as a freelance dancer and choreographer. She created the Acuña School in Buenos Aires where she is guest teacher. Yasmin regularly tours her workshop 360° Movement across Europe and the Americas, participating in festivals and institutions such as B12 Research or Die (multiple times), Sic Dance Festival, Tanzfaktur, Bluebox Gen2, Kataklò Athletic Dance Theatre, NunArt, Marameo, and many others. She continues to explore movement, acrobatics, and interdisciplinarity in her research.

The program consists of carrying out a personalized learning process. Over these weeks, we will learn the fundamentals of 360° movement step by step with the help of more than 16 tutorial videos, including extensive physical conditioning, floorwork, acrobatics, research tasks, choreographic sequences, and improvisation.

RETRO-VISION is a stage production that immerses the audience in the complexity of visionary knowledge processes amidst a fast-paced and demanding world. The narrative unfolds across three timelines, exploring the intertwined realities of various characters—or multiple voices of the same character inhabiting different moments in history simultaneously. At the core of the story, the audience engages with the challenges of understanding the complexity of human processes, confronting the pressures of the art market, which often favors immediate results and predictable formulas, thereby influencing creative processes. The critique of the art market manifests through the ethical dilemmas faced by one of the voices, who struggles against the efficiency that often prevails in the creative sphere. The work stands as a reflective critique that questions the priorities and values driving the artistic-cultural landscape of recent years, drawing parallels with Argentina's socio-political perspective. It manifests as an attempt to reclaim the processes of rediscovering our forgotten roots and essential foundations, revisiting visionary moments, the processes of INSIGHT.

Retro-Vision

SYSTEM is a company founded by Yasmin Iriel Frione in 2019, along with a talented group of performers. Over the past five years, the project has developed several stage works, including the trilogy "Escape Systems" and a pedagogical research project presented as SYSTEM training. Based in Buenos Aires, the company has toured extensively throughout the country, neighboring countries, and Europe. It has been a resident company in different associations and, thanks to various state supports, has performed numerous times at festivals and theaters. SYSTEM conducts physical research based on the fusion of contemporary dance language with acrobatic and performative elements. It focuses on the principles of deterritorialization of the body, ways to escape from a body influenced and affected by certain social and cultural patterns, and the idea of finding reterritorialization in new forms, building something more pleasant and reclaiming a connection approach. This theme is reflected in the works, in the nexus between participants and the audience, playing a lot with the thin line between what happens inside and outside the scene. What is our current reality? The planet is experiencing extraordinary changes. We are in a particularly uncertain time in which the amount of stimuli that the human mind must process simultaneously sometimes seems unbearable. The speed of events and an incessant succession of interpretations that contradict each other further exacerbate the turbulence of the present. We must address enormous imbalances, both ecological and economic, social, political, and cultural. The hypothesis we uphold in this work is that the problems we face are systemic and all deeply interconnected. We observe an increasingly symbiotic link between the mind and machines. What is the ESCAPE? Escaping in the face of planetary chaos Escaping and living dancing together as an act of disruptive power Escaping towards adverse universes Avoid escaping energy, to live in the present.
